About

Damon was born in to a long line

of passionate gardeners.

His great grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister and extended family have guided him as he discovered his own creative path.

A major influence has been his Sensei, renowned sculptor and landscape designer Akira Takizawa, with whom he has worked and learned from on many diverse projects over the last few decades.

Damon has visited Japan many times and studied the outstanding gardens.

Growing up on the fringes of Melbourne surrounded by bushland and coupled with his love of the Victorian alps and coastline has also informed his artistic sensibility.

Damon combines a keen interest in the Japanese aesthetic with his affiliation for the loose styling of the Australian landscape to create unique hybrid concepts.

Damon’s work ethic and personal approach, with an artisan's attention to detail, has earned him a client base that has been loyal over the 20 years he has been in business.

Damon welcomes new clients and their budding ideas.

He believes the best ideas arrive when you listen to the brief, workshop the story,

and then make it happen.
